Harry Potter and The Order of Pheonix: PSP Version

I got quite bored, so I decided to try out the Harry Potter game on PSP. I managed to play for almost an hour before realizing that I haven’t gotten far in the game because most of the time I spent walking around the overly large Hogwarts Castle to get from one location to another. Moreover the camera panning is terrible, and several times Harry (the character you control) ended up being off screen. The biggest problem that I came across was casting spells that required the use of two buttons. There is no explanation on how to do this in the game, other than Sirius Black going “Here, watch this” and waving his wand around every couple of minutes.

The spell I am talking about is Wingardium Leviosa, and this is how you cast it. Press the X button and let go. Make sure you let it go before your wand starts to glow. Then press the triangle button and hold it until your wand starts to glow a bit, and you make one large circle with it. Then let go, and the object will magically levitate.

I had the same experience. spent hours trying to recruit and follow the dam footsteps all over the place, only to have more ppl to find n help.

The camera angles are a real let down, as you run down a set of stairs and cant see where your going.

As for casting spells….yeah, there is some help using them in select. but no mention of tapping x n then hold y till the glow appears. That took awhile šŸ™

I just gave up on the game righter there, and started playing Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2. It’s much better created, plus it’s graphics are spectacular!

No wonder Harry Potter: OOTP got such a low rating on GameSpot. 5/10!

Exact same experience over here, except it was on the PC version. Dueling was reduced to frantically moving my mouse in what I hoed to be the correct way to cast a spell. The passages behind portraits barely reduced the amount of time needed to transverse the entire castle. It’s such a horrible game.

      That’s a good question. I never noticed that. šŸ˜›
