Bargains on Gadgets

I am a big fan of tech gadgets, and I am always excited when I see something on sale. I monitor NCIX weekly, just so I can see if they have any new cool toys on sale. However in this post, I will be writing about another site that lists tech bargains. It is basically another of the “coupon sites” that scavengers the web for information on different deals on different sites that is updated every day at any time, even during the holidays. That might not sound as exciting, but there are a few features that set it apart from everyone.

The Standard Features

TechBargains has the features that you can find in any other shopping comparator. For example, let’s look at the BlueAnt 93725 X5 Stereo Bluetooth Headset that I found on sale for $92 at Buy.com. With just a few clicks, I can see some very useful information about the product, such as similar deals and reviews. I can also email the deal to a friend to give them a hint for my upcoming birthday 😉 . Moreover, I can use their built in shopping comparator to see if there are any previously listed deals that can offer me the product for a lower price, and yes there are.

RSS Feeds and Mobile Notification

First of all, TechBargains offers RSS feeds of all the latest deals on their site. This means that you do not have to waste time loading their site repeatedly to see if they have added any new deals that you might be interested in. Instead all you have to do is add it to your favorite reader, and just wait for the deals to come streaming in. Every items in the feed only includes the name of the product, the new price and a picture. This makes it very good for fast scanning in RSS clients such as Google Reader. This also integrates well into the RSS readers in mobile phones, so deal hunters can access the website from their wireless devices.
