Sony Just Released PSP Firmware 3.90
Karol Krizka @ January 29, 2008
PSPQJ.Net is reporting that Sony released a new firmware for PlayStation Portables. over Network Update. The newer firmware, version 3.90, does not bring many changes. The only thing notable is the inclusion of the long awaited Skype PSP client, but that is only for the new PSP Slims. So is there even a point to upgrading for most people? There is already a good hombrew SIP Phone client that also works on PSP Fats called Furkiup.
- Support for PLAYSTATION Network titles has been expanded.
- Skype has been added as a feature under Network.* (Only for PSP-2000 series.)
