I am back to compiling the daily homebrew application releases in the PlayStation Portable community, mainly because I started a new website that categorizes applications called urPSP. This makes it much easier to create these posts, because I can just run a simple script that generates the entire list in a few seconds. urPSP also offers an RSS feed and email updates that you can subscribe to to be notified of new releases as they come out!

In a nut shell, this allows the PlayStation Portable to save any savedata in unencrypted form as well as the normal way. An unencrypted savedata, as you know, can be directly edited with a number of different tools like hex editor for example.

Extended Pandora Bootmenu 0.86t2 Download

Like its name implies, this is an extended boot menu to be used with a magic Pandora memory stick. Some of its basic functions include the following:

• Choose to boot firmware from memory stick, internal flash, or the original Pandora main menu
• Fix flash1:/ (the one holding the settings and config) by formatting it and creating all directories
• Launch an additional application (PSPFiler or such) with working access to the real flash0:/
• Launch custom firmware installer (OE / M33) with working flash0:/ access, so it can install the CFW straight from a Pandora boot without the need to downgrade to 1.50 first, no matter of the current state (and version) of the internal flash.
• The paths to execute for flash0-app and CFW installer can be set with the built in file browser

      1.50 Kernel Patch 3.90 Download

      Many homebrew applications for the PSP were written using the binary format used in the very old 1.50 firmwares. However new firmwares no longer contain this code, so developers had to found a way to include it in the 3.xx firmwares. One way that Dark_Alex came up with is the 1.50 kernel patch, which you can download here. The patch is only available for PSP Fats and has to be applied after every major firmware update. For example, you need to install the patch version 3.90 after you upgrade from 3.80M33 to 3.90M33, but not after you upgrade from 3.90M33 to 3.90M33#2.

      PSP Dialer achieves this by storing your digits, which the handheld then activates off as touch tone sounds that will be picked up by a phone mike held close to its speakers. This application is built for units running on 3.xx firmwares, and should work fine on the Slim.

      • swapped the tones with clearer, louder, and longer ones. As a result dialing takes longer though
      • total records(and probably the limit) = 18 now
      • added record editor(a very simple one) but it gets the job done. As a result names are now restricted to 20 characters as a result

      Pointless Pacman 1.0e Download

      This homebrew game is a clone of Namco’s classic Pacman title, and very much has the same goal - eat all the pellets before the ghosts eat you. The only map included right now is just a simple loop.

      • Program is now run in user mode. The program should run on more PSP firmware versions.
      • Program can be paused with the HOME button, and resumed by selecting “No”.
      • Ghost reversing direction behaviour is more random, but can still only happen in corners.
      • Appearance of fruit is based on the number of pellets left on the screen as the original.
      • Pellet sound effect does not interfere with other sound effects.
      • Ghost flashes bright white to warn player that energiser time is running out as the original.
      • Energiser time becomes less as stages progress as the original, the effect is very gradual.
      • Bugfix prevents being killed by ghost left in Pacman’s starting position from last level.
      • Fruit bonus will disappear if it is not collected in a certain time as the original.
