Happy Talk Like A Physicist Day
Karol Krizka @ March 14, 2008
PhysicsNot only is today the Pi Day and Einstein’s birthday, but today is also the Talk Like A Physicists Day! Geeks across the country will spend the day talking about the everyday phenomena that can be described using mathematical models, like the analogy of moving traffic to a compression wave or the pseudo-forces that you can experience while moving in a non-inertial frames (aka, riding in a bus that is turning corners). If that is not up your alley, why not at least try playing some physics games or simulations?
If you don’t know what a physicist speak like, just watch the following clip from the Big Bang Theory TV show. (First new episode after the writers’ strike premiers this Monday!!!)
