John Chow’s USB CoolIT Chiller Contest

There is a really cool blog contest at John Chow’s blog. He’s giving away a CoolIT Chiller that he also reviewed on his TechZone website. To enter the draw, all you have to do is comment on his blog (or blog about it yourself for a second entry).

The reviews might not be very positive, but that’s only because a can was used instead of a cup. Since I buy bottled coke, I drink out of a cup so it’s not a big problem for me. Why buy bottled coke? Well, a 2L can of Root Beer costs $1.79, which translated to $0.09 per 100 mL. On the other hand, a 12 pack (355mLx12=4260mL) of the same liquid costs $5.99, which is $0.14 per 100mL. As you can see, there is a huge different in price, and since they taste the same I don’t see a point in paying more for a can just because it’s smaller and therefore “cooler”.
